TAKE ACTION: Be Heard By Your Representative and Senators!

Last November, American voters acted dramatically to change the face of Congress. They swept out dozens of incumbents and installed Representatives and Senators with a completely different philosophy from the officials they replaced. There is new leadership in the House, and the Senate is distinctly more skeptical about big government than it was just a few months ago.

These changes create an important opportunity to rein in a government that has grown out of control. This Congress can act to reduce spending and to rein in excessive regulation, allowing the American people to address challenges without federal interference. But just as it took the active involvement of the American people to convince the last Congress to reject cap-and-trade, the DREAM Act, and Card Check, it will require their strong voice to ensure Congress changes course. So just as Liberty Central members – and other grassroots activists – made their voices heard in the last Congress, they’ll have to continue to do so in the months ahead.

With that in mind, take a moment to make sure you know your Representative and Senators. In the column on the right, you will find Liberty Central’s updated ‘Know Your Representatives’ widget. (If you don’t see your Representative and Senators, simply plug in your zip code.) Program those phone numbers into your cell phone or speed dial right now, so you can be in touch with them more easily as issues arise. And if you have new representatives, give a call right now to welcome them and wish them luck in the new Congress. Or click here to send a welcome message, encouraging them to act boldly to rein Washington in.

remember why we voted change; now JUST DO IT!

Openness starts by having the US Congress seat so everyone can clearly see their parties and members. Mixing all in together for the President’s address only clouds the view of our elected members. Let’s be open and see how they and the President respond.

Remember the last time the President misrepresented the view of the US Supreme Court. Without that separation it would have gone unnoticed by most. It’s important we have a clear unobstructed view of where all stand.

Leave mixing in groups for campfires and marshmallows.

Honor and protect our Constitution, and defend against all foreign and domestic treasons brought up against The United States Of Amereica.

I agree with John Roane ” Leave the mixing in groups to campfires and marshmellows.

Lemme ditto both John Roane and Richard!!

  • Leave the parties separate during State of the Union

It is just the Democrats scheme to not show the new majority. I guarantee they would not be wanting this if they still had the majority. Let them sit in the back like Obama told us We won. Now the shoe is on the other foot we won. Now let’s take back the Senate and White house. The Republican better keep listening to the people.
